Postdoctoral Research Fellows Wanted
Professor Dan Wang’s Research Group
College of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Shenzhen University
Due to the growing needs of our research programs, Professor Dan Wang’s group at the College of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Shenzhen University, is seeking to recruit several postdoctoral research fellows. We warmly welcome young researchers who are passionate about scientific research, diligent, responsible, motivated, and eager to pursue academic excellence.
About the Research Group
Professor Dan Wang is a Distinguished Professor and doctoral supervisor at Shenzhen University. He has served as Chief Scientist of a National Key R&D Program, was selected for the CAS Hundred Talents Program, and is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is an expert enjoying the Special Government Allowance of the State Council, a leading talent in scientific and technological innovation under the National Ten Thousand Talents Program, and a Young and Middle-aged Leading Scientist in Scientific and Technological Innovation recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Professor Wang is a Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry, and serves as an executive council member of the International Solvothermal and Hydrothermal Association. He is Executive Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Research in Chinese Universities and Chemical Journal of Chinese Universities, and Associate Editor of Materials Chemistry Frontiers. He also serves on the editorial boards of Science Bulletin, EnergyChem, Science China Materials, Chinese Science Bulletin, Acta Chimica Sinica, and Chinese Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, as well as on the advisory editorial boards of Energy & Environmental Science, Advanced Science, Advanced Materials Interfaces, Matter, EnergyChem, EcoMat, and ChemNanoMat.
Professor Wang has long been engaged in inorganic synthetic chemistry, with a focus on the frontiers of multifunctional inorganic structural systems. His group has made systematic and original contributions to the synthesis methodology and applications of mesoscale structural regulation and atomically controlled doping. He pioneered a universal and controllable synthetic strategy for inorganic hollow multishelled structures, revealed the underlying “concentration wave” physical mechanism, and achieved the precise synthesis of a series of inorganic hollow multishelled solid materials. His group further discovered the unique “temporal–spatial ordering” property of hollow multishelled structures and developed a series of highly efficient energy-related and ordered sensing inorganic solids based on such structures. In addition, his team invented a site-selective doping method for graphdiyne, discovered a new nitrogen-doping configuration known as sp-N, and realized atomically controlled synthesis.
Professor Wang has published more than 280 SCI-indexed papers in leading journals, including Nature, Nature Reviews Chemistry, Chemical Society Reviews, Accounts of Chemical Research, Nature Energy, Nature Chemistry, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, and Advanced Materials. His publications have received more than 27,000 citations, with an H-index of 91. He has filed more than 50 invention patents, of which more than 30 have been granted and two have been transferred for implementation, contributing to local economic development and industrial transformation.
Professor Wang has received a number of honors and awards, including the Japan–China Ceramic Science and Technology Exchange Award from the Ceramic Society of Japan, the Evonik Particuology Innovation Award for Outstanding Scientist, the Beijing Science and Technology Award, and the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Society of Particuology. He was selected as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher from 2018 to 2024.
